Online meetings are from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM every third Wednesday of the month. We need volunteers to help with translations during the meetings. Please let us know if you can help.

Executive Board Meetings

​

 

 

 

 

The Galileo PTSA Executive Board meetings are held on the First Monday of the month during the school year. These meetings provide an opportunity for officers and chairpersons to share ideas, provide updates and oversee the management of a PTSA.

We have any open seats on the the Galileo PTSA Executive Board. We could really use your help to lead this organization. Please considering joining.

The meetings are also a unique forum for board members to carry out their collective responsibility to:

• Monitor financial and membership reports

• Authorize the payment of bills within the limits of the unit’s budget

• Approve Minutes from the previous meeting

• Create committees as needed

• Fill vacancies on the board during the term

• Ensure that adopted budgets and required reports are sent to the council, if in council, and district PTA

• Ensure that tax and government filings are submitted each year by the due dates

• Developing goals and plans for PTA programs and events​​​​​​​

School Site Council (SSC) Meeting

​

The School Site Council (SSC) represents parents, students, community members and school staff in the school governance process. The SSC has a number of important responsibilities, including reviewing and analyzing student achievement data, gathering community input, helping develop the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and the school site budget, and monitoring the implementation of the plan and budget.

​

Meetings are from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM every second Wednesday of the month.
